Helping a neighbour save money

A North Wales company was delighted to be a good neighbour when the firm next door decided to relocate to new premises.

Hafod Renewable Energy, specialists in providing renewable energy technologies to both domestic and commercial sectors, based on the Colomendy Industrial Estate, Denbigh, was only too happy to make sure that the new building for Denbigh Building Plastics was low carbon and cost neutral to operate.

Director, David Jones said: “We pride ourselves on coming up with solutions for our customers and when Garry Jones, joint director of Denbigh Building Plastics said they were moving and building new premises I was delighted to be given the opportunity to design and install an eco-heating system run by solar electricity.

“The new system will heat the new building in the winter and be a cooling system in the summer. We also put solar panels on the roof which will add to the savings for Denbigh Plastics.

“By installing these systems the company will have a heating bill of only approximately £500 a year but will earn about £1,700 through the feed in tariff therefore they will be in profit by £1,200.

“It is amazing the amount of money which can be saved by taking a renewable energy approach and we are here to help and advise both homeowners and companies.

“We can provide biomass boilers, heat pumps, solar panels, all installed by our expert team and with full consultation.”

Denbigh Building Plastics is run by directors Garry Jones and Sian Gough Roberts who approached Hafod Renewable Energy after deciding to build a new HQ on the Colomendy Industrial Estate and wanted to reduce running costs.

Garry said that they chose Hafod Renenwable Energy for peace of mind and for their good reputation.

He said: “I had heard some really good stories about Hafod Renewable Energy particularly on their installations, competitive pricing and they were approachable and I was not disappointed.

“They made it quite uncomplicated and everything was explained and the process was quite simple from start to finish and we got what we asked for.”

Hafod Renewable Energy Ltd was set up in 2010 and prides itself on delivering a friendly, family and local bespoke service to both domestic and commercial customers.

The company offer a full design and implementation renewable energy service ensuring a complete sustainable solution for customers or companies throughout north Wales.
